FeedNetback Workshop 2009

23rd Sept 2009
Venice, Italy

Introduction

The First FeedNetback Annual Workshop, takes place on the 23rd of September 2009, in Venice, Italy in conjunction with the IFAC Workshop on Estimation and Control of Networked Systems NecSys'09. http://www.necsys.org/

The goal of the workshop is to establish a dynamic annual forum for the latest advances of feedback techniques in modern control systems. It will be an opportunity to meet innovators from Europe's research community as well as developers and users of related technologies and applications. It is expected that the workshop will stimulate discussions of the barriers to uptake of the technology in diverse application domains and the opportunities to address these.

The workshop comprises 4 sessions: a) a session with 3 keynote presentations giving an overview of the latest research results from within the FeedNetback work programme; b) a session with 2 invited academic presentations describing novel approaches outside of our project; c) a session with the application challenges addressed by the project and d) a panel discussion comprising a mixture of external speakers from industry presenting and discussing applicability of technologies in current and future application domains. The panel presentations will be followed by an open discussion session. All presentations as well as the key points from the panel discussion will be published in the event's proceedings.
